What started with a Cardinals trip to Yankee Stadium became a five-year family mission: Mark, Sarah, Audrey, Oscar and our niece Stephanie visiting every Major League ballpark, one city and one story at a time.
We’re keeping the scores, but Chasing 30 is really about everything surrounding the game—the early flights, long drives, new food, ballpark history, wrong turns, inside jokes and the memories we’ll still be telling when the kids are grown.
HOW THE CHASE BEGAN
One game turned into thirty ballparks.
We have always been a Cardinals family. Busch Stadium is where our baseball story began and where Audrey and Oscar have grown up going to games. But when a Cardinals trip to Yankee Stadium came together, it sparked a much bigger idea: what if Mark, Sarah, Audrey, Oscar and our niece Stephanie made it to every Major League ballpark?
What began as a plan to follow the Cardinals became a five-year mission to experience all thirty parks—the cities, history, food, rivalries and road-trip chaos that make each one different. We will catch the Cardinals whenever we can, but this chase is not only about who is playing. Every stop becomes another chapter in our family story.
THE LAST STAMP
Thirty ballparks. One final stamp. Home.
Busch Stadium is Stadium #1 and the place where our baseball story began—but its passport stamp is being saved for the very end. We will visit the other 29 ballparks first, with our final road ballpark counting as Stadium #30 of the chase and stamp #29 in our passport. Then we will come home to St. Louis, return to Busch Stadium and add the 30th and final stamp to the book. After thousands of miles, thirty ballparks and a lifetime of family memories, Chasing 30 will end exactly where it started: at home.
